Hofbrauhaus Newport Restaurant Review: Given Cincinnati's strong German heritage, perhaps it's not surprising that Munich chose to open its first authentic American Hofbräuhaus here. Located south of the Ohio River in Newport on the Levee, the Hofbräuhaus Newport offers three dining options: outdoors in the bier garden, indoors in the loud and lively bier hall, or in the smaller, quieter dining room for those who just want to enjoy their beer and food in peace. Dinner options include wiener schnitzel, sauerbraten and a variety of sausage platters such as schmankerlplatte with schweinsbraten, smoked pork chops and three kinds of sausages served with sauerkraut, fried cabbage and mashed potatoes. But you also can choose from American favorites like grilled chicken, cheeseburgers and a club sandwich. Naturally, German beers flow in abundance. |
