House of Blues’ music menu is legendary, complemented by the restaurant’s down-home Southern dining experience and the two big TV screens over the bar. The accent is on home-style Creole-Cajun favorites such as the breakfast bananas Foster french toast, lunch-dinner appetizers of pan-seared voodoo shrimp with Dixie beer reduction and rosemary cornbread, and New Orleans-style turkey and shrimp filé gumbo with andouille sausage. We also like the Cajun meatloaf with mushroom gravy and mashed potatoes, and the baby-back ribs with Jim Beam barbecue sauce and mashed sweet potatoes. HOB desserts feature unique touches such as the white chocolate banana bread pudding with Jack Daniels whiskey sauce and a caramel halo. Blues or rock bands jam nightly except Tuesday. The Sunday Gospel brunch in the adjacent theater is among the Strip’s hot tickets.
