THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS India Chef Restaurant Review: Strip centers in metro Atlanta now come dotted with Indian restaurants, many of nice quality. This one offers little in the way of ambience, but plenty in the way of fine food value. Seasoning is tame by most Indian standards, so if you want hotter, you'll have to specify that when ordering. But the nice thing is that if you do want wine with your fare, the seasoning level isn't hostile to wine. If you bring your own, bring you own glasses as well, as these aren't very wine-friendly. Chicken tikka remains moist and flavorful, so unlike some that turn out dry. Beringer's Gewürztraminer handles this dish very well. The star in this operation is the lamb, which may adorn a raft of choices. We went for the lamb pasanada. The creamy, mildly spiced yogurt sauce envelops tender and very flavorful chunks of lamb. All meats are Halal in this restaurant, so it serves beef, unlike many. Both eggplant and rice are fine, although we've had better at other restaurants, but if there are better papadums out there, we'd like to know where. Lunch buffets are serious meal deals, going for less than $7 on weekdays and just a dollar more on weekends.
