Irregardless Cafe Restaurant Review: After 40 years in business, Irregardless Café still appeals to food lovers who appreciate wholesome, healthy fare made from the freshest ingredients. The casual, simple interior with wooden tables and chairs and hardwood floors is a perfect backdrop for chef/owner Arthur Gordon’s tempting menu. Eclectic tapas and main dishes suit a broad range of tastes and dining requirements, from vegetarian to vegan and gluten-free. At lunch, we like the black bean quinoa burger and smoked salmon burger dressed with lemon-caper rémoulade, the seafood linguine with lobster butter sauce, and the chile relleno with Spanish ratatouille. For dinner, you may find acorn squash stuffed with wild rice pilaf and lentils or a vegan shepherd’s pie with sweet potatoes. Carnivores will encounter steak au poivre, duck à l’orange or roast chicken with lemon rutabaga mash. Desserts include cheesecake, crème brûlée and flourless chocolate torte.
