THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Java Monkey Restaurant Review:

Drawing a wide swath of customers of all ages, Java Monkey brims with activity until midnight. Conversations run from politics to arguments about the nature of jazz at the wine bar, while in another space jazz, bluegrass or poetry readings keep a small crowd engaged. Breakfast features house-baked treats while lunch and dinner take sustenance from a list of panini and other sandwiches. We suggest the chocolate chip muffin for the former and the Cubanini (a pressed pork loin sandwich) with slaw for lunch or later. Dessert cakes come from nearby bakery Southern Sweets. Coffees are made from organic, shade-grown, fair-traded beans, while teas, smoothies and sundry other drinks make up the libations list, along with a decent wine selection at the wine bar. Owner Jessica Williams has her eyes firmly on the ball and runs a tight ship.
