Jean-Robert's Table Restaurant Review: In the heart of downtown, chef Jean-Robert de Cavel --- the closest thing Cincinnati has to a celebrity chef --- offers a seasonal menu that draws from locally grown ingredients and has a contemporary bent rooted in French tradition. We suggest starting with the green-lipped mussels --- smoked, marinated and fragrant. Or opt for the sweetbreads seared in duck fat. The "3 Little Cochon" entrée is a pork-lover's dream, with belly, ribs and tenderloin all on one plate. Finish with the chocolate macadamia tart with salted brown sugar. If you don't have reservations, you can still enjoy a taste of de Cavel's food. The bar is always buzzing and offers a full menu; the French Chateau burger is finished with blue cheese, caramelized onions, bacon and tomato.
