Jean-Robert's Table Restaurant Review: In the heart of downtown, chef Jean-Robert de Cavel --- the closest thing Cincinnati has to a celebrity chef --- is building on his reputation. His talents shine on the seasonal menu that draws on locally grown ingredients: this is contemporary food rooted in French tradition. We suggest starting with the mussels --- smoked, marinated and fragrant green-lipped --- or go for the sweetbread seared in duck fat. The "3 Little Cochon" entrée is a pork-lover's dream, with belly, ribs and tenderloin all on one plate. For dessert, try the roasted strawberries with honey, rhubarb and white balsamic gastrique or lavender-macerated blackberries. The bar, which offers a full menu, is always buzzing, with regulars ordering the French Chateau burger with blue cheese, caramelized onions, bacon and tomato.
