| Though not traditional, Kai Lana’s energetic and inventive menu has proven a real winner. There’s a creative sushi “pizza” with a “crust” of fried rice paper and “toppings” of spicy tuna and roe; a Honolulu roll, also with spicy tuna, and topped with ono and crunchy pickled onions; and a riceless Kai “burrito” stuffed with crab, salmon, tuna, cucumber, avocado and jalapeño. All the usual sashimi and sushi options are available, plus non-fish faves such as chicken yakitori, udon bowls and pork katsu. Lunch and dinner combos offer a lot of food for a good value, and include miso soup and a salad. You can enjoy Kirin drafts as well as pints of locally brewed Firestone. |
