Kool Runnings Restaurant Review: Tony Reid offers authentic island fare in a bright, cheery environment. Breakfast is Jamaican-style, with callaloo (like spinach); ackee (a tropical fruit); and codfish, pickled mackerel and sliced kingfish or red snapper escovitched or brown-stewed. The same dishes carry through lunch and dinner with the addition of oxtails, really tasty brown-stewed chicken, codfish fritters, jerk chicken and curried goat. The Jamaican fruitcake is baked on the premises. Inexpensive lunch specials come with a glass of house-made lemonade. Beer, including Jamaican choices, and wine are available.
