La Brasa Restaurant Review:

Small plates, shared snacks and creative cocktails dominate the menu at La Brasa. You can get started with a Dead Man's Mule, glass of bubbly or a local draft brew. The restaurant focuses on communal dining so order up some fresh bread with chicken liver mousse, lentil hummus or simple ricotta for spreading. Each snack is offered individually, like the beet pickled egg, chicken wing and mole, fresh oysters and taco de carnitas. We like the mussels with chorizo and beans as well as the sweet potato and goat cheese combination from the small portions section. Main dishes include a half chicken, whole flounder, tender hanger steak with garlic confit, and pork chop with onion. For-the-table offerings are larger (and pricier) and include a rib roast cart service. Save room for the creamy dulce de leche flan for dessert.
