La Chamaille Restaurant Review: This charming old house's setting is idyllic: it's nestled in the verdant countryside along a babbling brook, but it's only about 15 minutes from Auxerre. The cuisine, while unsurprising, is nonetheless delicious. Try classic dishes from Chef Hervé Ancelot like duck foie gras croustillant, garden salad with citrus vinaigrette, braised gilthead bream with lemon confit and a vegetable casserole, beef rib casserole with vegetable pastilla, carmelized waffle, and chocolate cone with saffron émulsion. Well-stocked wine cellar with the very best regional wines represented. Good selection of wines by the glass. Extremely cordial welcome and service.
