 THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Fourchette Restaurant Review: La Fourchette owners and Tunisia natives Mounir Barhoumi and Salem Makhlouf have hit on a solid formula with their Mediterranean restaurant. The place appeals for both business dining and romance with its subdued noise levels, while the kitchen is in the capable hands of chef Dustin Haney, who changes the menu seasonally. In summer, we enjoy the pea soup, which holds whole fresh peas for added texture and intensity of flavor. Loup de mer is grilled skin-on and served on a bed of sliced fingerling potatoes and leeks. A side dish of broccolini is sufficient for two persons. For dessert, choose the Tunisian beignets with ice cream or flourless chocolate torte and raspberry sorbet. The wine list is not as distinctive as it was initially. Interesting small producer gems are being replaced by high-profile icon wines. Coffee provides a fine finale. |
