L'Autre Pied Restaurant Review:

The owners of Pied à Terre, manager David Moore and chef Shane Osborn, set up L’Autre Pied in Marylebone. The restaurant is small, its quite sparse looking rooms lightened with hand-painted walls and screens. The atmosphere is more casual than at its big sister, but the cooking is serious with flavors delivering a real punch. From the set lunch menu, a starter of butternut squash velouté comes with braised beef shin and buttered cabbage, or go for a warm salad of charred Jerusalem artichokes, smoked yoghurt and endive, followed by roasted cod with fennel, preserved lemon, anchovy and black olive. The à la carte menu might offer trout with fennel, green olive, lemon and seaweed crackers, and roast suckling pig, cannelloni, peas, radicchio, anchovy and mustard. The wine list ranges worldwide with a large number of wines by the glass and half bottles and a good array of full bottles between £20 and £40. Service is charming and efficient, making this one of London’s most delightful venues. Set lunch menu three courses £29, two courses £24, one course £14.50. Tasting menus £62-£79.
