Lavender Bistro Restaurant Review: The setting at this Old Town La Quinta bistro includes an elegant dining room and a leafy patio for al fresco feasting. Piquing the interest of adventurous palates, the menu features fresh seafood, duck, pork and beef with French influences and California panache. There’s also cold seafood offerings, such as oysters on the half shell, shrimp cocktail, king crab and other shellfish. The bar menu is a collection of small plates and proves to be a bargain during happy hour. Certain nights of the week can be easy on the wallet, too, including no corkage on Sundays and half-price bottles of wine on Tuesdays.
