Le Giverny Restaurant Review: Paris-born Rémy Kerba governs this Decatur-Emory area French restaurant. The white tablecloth setting glows with candlelight, and paintings grace the wall along with the occasional archival photograph and botanicals. At lunch, savor the house-made country-style pâté or salade Niçoise, along with American tastes with French touches, such as a fried chicken breast with caper and lemon butter sauce. Order the rillettes de porc and you get three substantial slices of smooth potted pork with greens, sharp mustard and cornichons. Truite Grenobloise delivers local rainbow trout with capers and brown butter sauce, served with mashed potatoes and grilled crisp asparagus. Tarte tatin reinforces the feeling that you’ve dined à la française. Although vintages are not indicated, staff will promptly retrieve the desired information about the wine that interests you, and there are enough decent selections by the glass to get you through a solo dining experience.
