| A deep-rooted sense of authenticity is evident at this downtown establishment; do look into its well-thought-out table d'hôte menu. Risottos are of particular note. The à la carte menu offers routine Italian fare such as pasta, meat, poultry and seafood as well as a collection of interesting desserts. For those who are interested in something beyond the ordinary, there’s a delicate, Italian twist on sweetbreads. Le Latini is the only restaurant in Montreal that imports white truffles from Italy; if you’re lucky you will catch them in season when the kitchen uses them to great effect and ample amounts to dress pastas, sauces and stuffings. Even if you are partaking of an elaborate meal, save room for the tiramisu. Fine Italian wines are also available. |
