The folks at Lee's are not the sort to coddle customers. This particular suburban Lee's outpost is little more than a walk-up shed. Those who remember the original, legendary Lee's in the New Orleans Central Business District may find these a sad substitute for the patties of yore, but the beef is still ground daily at all Lee's locations, and the slow-fried patties are still embedded with chopped onions that caramelize as the meat cooks. Lee's present-day fans would hardly let a week go by without stopping in for a fix.
