Legal Sea Foods Restaurant Review: This seafood giant has been serving up some of the freshest fish in town since the Berkowitz family opened its first restaurant in 1968. Since then, they have created a nationwide chain of restaurants that serves more than 20 varieties of fish caught daily. Legal is well known for its creamy yet chunky clam chowder. Pair up a glass of Pinot Grigio with fresh raw clams and oysters, enormous shrimp cocktail or tuna sashimi. The restaurant’s core values of freshness and consistent quality pay homage to New England throughout the entire menu, with simply prepared entrées like baked Boston scrod, fried clams and the New England lobster bake. Located in the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center, stop in after a long day of shopping, but if you don’t have time to come in, head over to the take-out counter for a lobster roll and chowder to go.
