Liberty Cheese Steaks Restaurant Review

: Liberty Cheese Steaks tells the story of two guys who were best friends in college and had a dream of opening their own business. The fact that cheesesteaks are not a staple in New Orleans did not stop them. One of them is from Philly, so he brings some street cred with him, and it shows. The menu offers a pizza steak, a chicken steak and a steak hoagie, but the real reason for this place to exist is the original cheesesteak on a hoagie roll with onions and cheese. There are three sauces offered, but you won't really need them. What you will need are the "boil fries," which are french fries seasoned in spicy crab boil. The restaurant is situated in the same minute (read "claustrophobic") building that was the original home of the expanded Dat Dog that moved to bigger digs across the street. Word-of-mouth has brought lines of people waiting to order, especially over lunch hours.
