The Liberty Tavern Restaurant Review:

Among the hot-spots on Clarendon’s stretch of Wilson Boulevard is The Liberty Tavern, housed in a historic Masonic Lodge building with old-time photos to prove its pedigree. Featuring American cooking with a contemporary twist, the restaurant changes its menus to suit the season, but you had better hope to find the chef’s primo version of clam chowder, a filling first course chunky with potatoes, clams, celery, and a few dashes of crab meat and tarragon. Main courses at lunch and dinner include wood oven-baked pizzas and assorted entrées of chicken, fish or pasta. Lunchtime sandwiches include the “Primanti Brothers” with crumbly house-made kielbasa sausage plus french fries, slaw and Swiss on Italian bread. A Cubano sandwich and Hereford beef burger are also options. If you are on the lookout for a killer burger, you might make this place your first stop: it's big, juicy, and packed with flavor. Made-on-the-premises desserts --- red velvet and devil’s food cakes --- are guaranteed to pack on the pounds, unless you order the sorbet.
