Little Szechuan Restaurant Restaurant Review

: This pleasant little restaurant offers a menu of Cantonese, Mandarin and Szechuan dishes as well as a smattering of familiar Pan-Asian specialties. All the favorites are listed: General Tso’s chicken, cold noodles in sesame paste, shrimp in garlic sauce and orange beef. But there are also some interesting, less familiar options worth a try, such as subgum yakka mein (a savory combination of roast pork, chicken, beef and shrimp) and tai cheng chicken (deep-fried chicken chunks, crisp on the outside, tender on the inside, sautéed in spicy brown sauce with peppers and onions). The important thing to know is that whatever is ordered, it will be well prepared in a kitchen that demonstrates a generous and caring hand. While many Chinese establishments tone down fiery Szechuan fare for American palates, the hot dishes at Little Szechuan can be incendiary, so believe what the menu tells you. No desserts are offered. Little Szechuan allows wine and beer to be brought into the restaurant, but no hard spirits. Staff is friendly and helpful. Décor is simple and bright.
