Loco Coco's Tacos Restaurant Review: After closing time, Portsmouth chefs leave their own restaurants and flock to this lively Kittery spot for authentic Mexican fare and a frosty margarita or two. The spacious dining area with counter service for a quick meal is great for families, while the dark, lively cantina on the other side of the restaurant is fun for friends or a date over some guacamole and cocktails. Loco Coco's offers first-rate salsas, which involve everything from mild tomatillos to fiery smoked habanero peppers. The bustling spot keeps up the quality even as the crowds increase. Burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, even nachos --- it’s all here. Try the enchilada con mole with rich Oaxacan-style sauce, or the chili relleno burrito. For something a little lighter, go for the lime salad with grilled shrimp. Breakfast is served all day, too. Finish with a creamy and rich flan dripping with sweet caramel. There are beers and a nice array of tequilas to mix into your margarita.
