The Loft Restaurant Restaurant Review

: Situated in the loft of a barn on the grounds of a working dairy farm, this place truly offers farm-to-table cuisine. Organic ingredients, mostly from the farm and local sources, are used to prepare simple, yet creative, fare served in a serene and somewhat upscale setting. A selection of cheeses from the creamery is a key appetizer, especially when Fleur de la Terre is included in the line-up. Stuffed chicken breast is made with the creamery's herb cheese along with mushrooms, bacon and a poblano sauce. Want to go meatless? Quinoa cakes are crafted from sweet potatoes, spinach and sun-dried tomatoes, while the stuffed portobello mushrooms include wild rice, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and the creamery's Herb Fromage. Whether your choice is as simple as a burger or a house-made soup, there's a wine or local brew to pair with the food, and many of them are organic. Dessert selections vary, but the decision is easy: a bowl of the farm's freshly-made ice cream. Choose from a list of seasonal flavors or go for the vanilla and rich chocolate.
