Lulu California Bistro Restaurant Review: Occupying a prime corner spot in downtown Palm Springs, Lulu California Bistro’s exterior is a head-turner with its white façade and splash of neon. The restaurant is lofty with terraced dining areas on the first level, mezzanine seating with peek-a-boo views from above, and a large patio stretching along Palm Canyon Drive. Chef Arturo Casillas’ menu is fun and flavorful, with an assortment of appetizers, salads, panini, seafood, steak and pasta. Portions are generous, as evidenced by the New England lobster rolls, a trio of sandwiches filled with tender lobster meat, house-made mayonnaise, celery, chives and diced tomatoes. The wine list is thoughtful, and features many California labels like Rodney Strong and La Crema, as well as some notable European selections. There's also find a long list of imported bottled beers and craft brews on tap.
