THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Lulu’s Restaurant Restaurant Review

: From the second floor open-air dining room with killer beach views (and breezy breezes) on all three sides to the large bar with 22 TV screens, Lulu’s Restaurant is the sort of place to bring a group of friends for some game-watching or evening libations. The mood is young and fun---just look at all the signed dollar bills from patrons stapled along the walls and ceiling. As for the food, the menu features a variety of bar-type eats including burgers, sandwiches, nachos and wings as well as heartier steaks and seafood entrées. We enjoy the fresh fish tacos in a spinach tortilla with chipotle aïoli, as well as the Magnum P.I. burger packed with bacon, cheddar and guacamole. For heartier fare, try the baby-back ribs, coated in the signature mango-guava barbecue sauce. More adventurous palates can try the burger with peanut butter. We aren’t crazy about the barbecue chicken or the hot wings---both chewy and overcooked. Service can be slow, and happy hour drinks can be a bit weak. Evening entertainment ranges from a karaoke contest to salsa dancing to live reggae.

A memorable Hawaiian Dining Experience
by mauifan on Sun May 02, 2010 8:55 pm

I went with my family last year and then last month. Too many changes, better management, better food, better music and more colorful. I had the steak while my wife had Kalua Pork. Kalua Pork was amazing. My friend had the Peel and Eat Shrimp-Cajan Style. Could have been better with less seasoning. My son ordered the 24oz Baby Burger and waooooo....could not eat in 10 minutes but the burger was awesome. Our Mai Tais were great and the free Hula Show during sunset was mesmerizing. We went for a meal and ended up being there for over 4 hours! Wow. . . and are already planning on going back next year to do this all over again.
