THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Lux Restaurant Review: The owners of the popular Isa are behind this Asian-inspired small plates spot just around the corner. The storefront location's narrow dining room is tightly packed with tables and a bustling, youngish crowd. Along the zinc-topped bar may be the best place to sample a few of the small plates before deciding to dive into a full dinner. The menu includes nibble-sized plates like the Peking duck leg drizzled with hoisin sauce; a tartare of grass-fed beef mixed with lemon, mint and chili paste; and green beans fried up tempura-style. Larger dishes still aren't entrée size, but do offer heartier options. Try the miso-glazed butterfish or the raspberry-glazed baby back ribs. Service may be nicely paced or a bit erratic. |
