| We've always been more impressed by this restaurant's lively ambience and old-school East Coast décor than with its food, but then, Maggiano's has never been a gourmand getaway---it’s a nationwide chain and their tagline is, “Wherever you are, there’s a Maggiano’s Little Italy near you.” Serving superfluous portions of standard Italian-American food, the restaurant caters to families, large parties, and anyone who believes that good value means lots of leftovers. The eatery is fine for lunch with co-workers or a casual night out, and Maggiano's robust pastas and cheese-smothered entrées are quite satisfactory, but it is not so much a spot for a dinner to savor and remember. |
