| Every college town has at least one 24/7 café, and Magnolia was Austin's first. After a quarter century, it continues to thrive based on convenient hours, huge portions and dirt-cheap prices. You’ll need the strong, limitless coffee to get you through the wait for a table. Big-as-your-face cornmeal and gingerbread pancakes pep up a groggy Sunday morning or deliciously tie up the 3 a.m. Saturday night finale. Lighter lunch appetites will relish the tuna melt or California salad with fresh fruit, avocado, chicken, jack cheese and sprouts.
