Marco's Cafe & Espresso Bar Restaurant Review: Marco's is a destination for nearby residents as well as others from across Portland who come to stroll and shop in the boutiques, antique stores, and bookshops of Multonomah Village. Drawn in by inviting, airy dining rooms that seem sunny even on gloomy gray days, patrons can consider breakfast options ranging from homemade granola to a half dozen Benedicts, including salmon, andouille sausage, or bacon and avocado. Lunches lean toward sandwiches and generous salads. Dinner specials run the gamut from creamy chipotle pork to an heirloom tomato melt to lamb mulligatawny. Along with seasonal items, tasty meatloaf, fish ‘n’ chips, and Hungarian chicken are always on the menu. Vegan and gluten-free diners have plenty of choices. Kid-friendly fare is part of the regular menu (mac ‘n’ cheese, pasta, chicken piccata) and there's a dedicated children's menu offering organic burgers and grilled cheese. While waiting for their meal, kids may play with crayons and coloring books. Homemade desserts beckon from a glass case. A nice wine list focusing on small Oregon producers will complement any meal.
