Marco's Cafe & Espresso Bar Restaurant Review: Marco’s village setting draws Multnomah residents as well as diners from across Portland who come to stroll and shop. The inviting, airy dining rooms seem sunny even on a gloomy gray day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served, with most offerings changing daily. Something on the menu is bound to please everyone. Breakfast ranges from homemade granola to a half dozen Benedict options including salmon, andouille sausage, or bacon and avocado. Lunches lean toward sandwiches and generous salads. Dinner specials run the gamut from creamy chipotle pork to an heirloom tomato melt to lamb mulligatawny. Tasty meatloaf, fish ‘n’ chips, and Hungarian chicken are always on the menu. Vegan and gluten-free diners also have plenty of choices. Kid-friendly options are on the regular menu --- mac ‘n’ cheese, pasta, chicken piccata --- plus a dedicated children's menu offering organic burgers and grilled cheese. While waiting for their meal, kids may play with crayons and coloring books. Be sure to save room for the homemade desserts beckoning from a glass case. A nice wine list focusing on small Oregon producers is ready to complement meals.
