Market Pub House Restaurant Review: At this unpretentious eatery, expect pub grub from sandwiches to wings to nachos. But also be prepared to be surprised with appetizers like kung pao calamari and desserts such as cheesecake on a stick. The half-pound burgers are better than average, especially considering their fast-food prices. And there’s no upcharge to substitute other meats or vegetarian options. With early and late happy hours, big portions and plenty of sports on the screens, this place is clearly angling for the college crowd that floods The Loop from nearby Washington University. But the Racanellis (famous for their local pizza chain, among other restaurant ventures) know how to keep prices down and quality up, making this a good spot to fill up while keeping the budget in mind. |
