THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Matteo’s Pizzeria Restaurant Review: Former Four Seasons Wailea chef Matteo Mistura runs this casual on-the-greens, open-air eatery, with a simple yet enticing array of classic Italian pizzas, house-made pastas and salads. It’s authentic “cucina rustica” with a tropical ambience. We like the hand-tossed thin-crust pizzas cooked in the brick oven, like the Ligurian---shrimp, mascarpone and Genovese pesto---and the Quattro Stagione, which divides toppings of artichokes, prosciutto, black olives and mushrooms into four sections. The beer and wine menu, although limited, is a welcome accompaniment to braised lamb with caramelized vegetable-tomato ragù or a trip to the salad bar followed by homemade tiramisu or an apple tart with Chianti-vanilla sauce.
