The Melting Pot Restaurant Review

: A mix of one-night and short-term themes (luau, Wisconsin, lobster, craft beers) helps keep fondue-lovers returning to this low-light romantic dining spot. The eclectic crowd ranges from young women bantering about love to couples out for a night away from the kids. Start with a cheese fondue, followed by a mushroom salad. Meat, seafood or vegetarian fondues form the foundation for main courses, which include a choice of cooking liquids (oil or two broths). There’s also a separate Big Night Out category somewhat akin to a prix-fixe menu. Of the cheese fondues, the most amusing is the fiesta. Cheese and chilies are taken to the max, with an at-your-pleasure level of spiciness. For dessert, there’s the chocolate fondue, which shouldn’t be missed. Wine is a natural pairing with cheese, of course, so it’s hard to go wrong when choosing from the wine list.
