Memphis Minnie's Restaurant Review: For more than two decades Bob Kantor, a founding member of the California BBQ Association, has been at Minnie's smokehouse door, delivering plate after plate of slow-smoked, Southern-style goodness. Try the pork butt sandwich topped with the restaurant's signature vinegar slaw. The house sauces let you tour the nation, sampling the styles of condiments served in North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas rib houses. A juicy, medium-rare hamburger on a baguette is so good that no one will blame you for straying off the barbecue path. Eat in, or order meat by the pound for a tasty to-go. Don't be afraid to pair saké with your ’cue---it's unconventional, but Minnie's swears it works.
