Famous for its barbecue and more, rustic Williamson Bros. Bar-B-Q is a source for some of the best ’cue in the ’burbs. Available for private parties as a catered meal, breakfast is hearty and Southern-style. But it’s the barbecue that’s the draw. If uninitiated or ravenously hungry or curious, order the sampler platter to savor a full range of all the goodies. The experienced barbecue fan will focus on the ribs and chopped pork, moistened with a tangy, but not overly hot, tomato-based sauce that’s also available commercially. Side dishes include the fried dill pickles, fried red (yes, red) tomatoes, the Brunswick stew and the potato salad. The pies are homemade, and the coconut is the prime choice.
