THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Metro Kitchen & Bar Restaurant Review:

Metro Kitchen & Bar is a lofty, glass-ceilinged room with a sleek all-white bar and spare earth-tone décor. An outdoor patio makes a pleasant spot for lunch, but is even better for al fresco dining on a balmy night, one aspect of South Florida restaurants that other regions just can't match. You'll find a short, smart menu of fresh, unpretentious cuisine. Best bets start with Black Angus hangar steak, robustly herbed and served with a Romano-cheesy potato gratin, grilled asparagus spears, and rich, Cahors wine sauce. Big eye tuna is another winner, thin slices of seared, citrus-spiked fish comfortably paired with parsnip purée and braised collard greens. Some dishes are less successful, like a too-salty red miso soup and a surprisingly bland blend of sea scallops with beets and preserved lemon vinaigrette, and service stutters at times as well, but as the night progresses the hip crowd gets hipper, the music gets louder, and everything pretty much takes a back seat to the scene.
