 The casual elegance of The Metro is inviting to guests who desire affordable fine dining and expert wine advice. New wines are eagerly introduced to patrons via the frequently changing by-the-glass offerings. Combining French nuances with eclectic American and global influences, the seasonal fare is the ideal foil for the roster of vinos. Appetizers consist mostly of finger foods and seafood. Grazers should try the angel hair onions, and for those who prefer seafood, the pepper-seared ahi with cucumber yuzu sauce and wasabi sorbet is a good choice. We also like the chilled avocado and cucumber soup and the roasted beet salad with pickled onions, goat cheese, pistachios and balsamic vinaigrette. For dinner, we recommend the pork tenderloin with eggplant relish, red wine sauce and mango chutney, or the cedar plank salmon with a Dijon mustard and brown sugar glaze. Finish with the seasonal strawberry sorbet and honey ice cream or chocolate fudge cake with coffee crème anglaise and berries.
