THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Mia's Cafe Restaurant Review:
This creation of Thierry and Kathy Goulard is worth every mile of the drive 15 minutes south of Charleston's downtown center. Fortunately, it is also convenient to those visiting the island resorts south of town. The Goulard's bistro fare is served in a bustling and cozy dining room that also offers home-style Southern food at lunch. Dinner is the primary focus, with classic dishes such as French onion soup, a braised lamb shank accented with a large pile of fried crispy shoestring potatoes, enormous servings of beef tartare (both as an appetizer and as a main dish), and a generous portion of crab meat and avocado salad. Wonderful bread, gracious service and desserts round out this petite dining surprise.
