Monza Pizza Restaurant Review: The hip Monza vibe is inspired by Italian racecar legends and the aroma of rustic Neapolitan-inspired pizza made with dough utilizing wheat flour imported straight from San Felice. No substitutions are allowed, but they probably aren’t necessary since the menu has evolved into a few simple staples. The sausage and peppers antipasto is filling and flavorful, but some travel to upper King Street specifically for the butter bean salad. The crisp Campari pizza is nicely scorched and topped with tomato sauce, mozzarella, roasted red pepper, eggplant, olives, goat cheese and capers. A trim wine list provides enough pairings to round out the meal. The pots de crème is worth a try, and the house tiramisu also pays homage to the establishment’s Italian sentiment. |
