Mooo.... Restaurant Review: The understated elegance of Mooo…. is evident the moment you step into the Beacon Hill steakhouse. A favorite among politicos, who populate the bustling after-work scene at the bar, this hotel restaurant situated in XV Beacon is modern and upscale. The focus is on Prime cuts of beef that have been dry-aged (a costly process that produces concentrated beef flavors). Consider the New York strip or the 35-day dry-aged sirloin from Oregon’s Painted Hills ranch, perhaps paired with one of the wines from the cellar. Seafood lovers have their fair share of choices, too, including cider-glazed salmon and butter-poached Maine lobster. Sides are good but lean to the traditional staples such as steamed asparagus and creamed spinach. Desserts likewise present many classics, but the Baileys hot fudge sundae just might be the city’s most indulgent ending.
