THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED MoVida Restaurant Review:

Sydney has had a low-burning love affair with Spanish food for decades, as witnessed by the longstanding Liverpool Street addresses. MoVida represents a new, but just as authentic, wave of Latin romance for the city. The restaurant, which already had an outpost in Melbourne, is situated in inner-city Surry Hills. Channeling its southern sister, the menu incorporates the classics as well as adapting to its location. Frank Camorra brought members of the original MoVida crew, and puts in regular appearances wherever possible. The vibe is busy, friendly and unpretentious, and the ideal stage for the share plates of food that would sit as well in Spain as Sydney. Choose from imported jamón and seafood that is absolutely local, but cooked as it would be half a world away. And, like in Spain, cheese is the preferred “dessert.” Unsurprisingly, the wine list veers towards the Iberian Peninsula and Europe with a sprinkling of Aussie classics. Sangría, beers and pisco sours are also valid choices to accompany the dishes.
