Mr. Ojisan Restaurant Review: Mr. Ojisan’s menu, classic Japanese ambience, and calmly efficient service keep the limited seats in high demand. Start the meal with a bowl of maguro natto (fresh tuna chunks with fermented soy beans) before enjoying a teishoku (set menu) meal of your choice. We suggest the grilled sanma (mackerel pike) that is accompanied by miso soup, pickles, a seasonal small dish and rice. Meat lovers will go for the wafu steak served in the same manner. Pull out all the stops and order a sashimi platter followed by either yosenabe or sukiyaki. You can't go wrong with the specials, as these are rotated seasonally and often based on the freshest fish from that morning's fish auction. The bar counter is lined with shochu bottles boldly inscribed with their owners’ names.
