| Unlike the greasy fare offered at many fast-food places, Nando’s prepares grilled chicken (quarter, half, whole) with a secret sauce that ranges from mild to incendiary on the heat index. The rest of the menu offers both unusual and satisfying accompaniments: bet you’ve never been to a fast-food place that offered a side of butternut squash tossed with dried cranberries and grilled corn kernels. Desserts are limited to tiny custard tarts and frozen yogurt---not a bad change of pace for a sweet tooth. The setting is comfy and welcoming, just the place where patrons can sit down to a newspaper read or for a business lunch. |
