Unlike the greasy fare offered at many fast-food places, Nando’s prepares grilled chicken (quarter, half, whole) with a secret sauce that ranges from mild to incendiary on the heat index. The rest of the menu proposes both unusual and satisfying accompaniments: bet you’ve never been to a fast-food eatery with such sides as butternut squash tossed with dried cranberries and grilled corn kernels. Desserts are limited to tiny custard tarts and frozen yogurt --- not a bad change of pace for a sweet tooth.
