THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Napa Valley Grille Restaurant Review:
Unfortunately, or fortunately for those who come to Minnesota only to shop, the Napa Valley Grille is located in the Mall of America, which is about as un-Napa Valley-ish as any place on earth. So as much as we love the menu, we have trouble getting past the fact that our dining alternative is one of the mall's two food courts. It takes a while, but once we settle into our meal we enjoy dishes such as the pan-seared tuna or the ragoût of rabbit. Of course, if we’re entertaining out-of-town friends (why else would we be dining at the MOA?), we like to recommend the almond-crusted walleye, complete with a Minnesota wild rice compote. We also appreciate that the Grille offers a nice course of artisan cheeses---something rather rare in the Twin Cities, but so California.
