Navesink Fishery Restaurant Review: Locals know the secret: this strip mall fishmonger is more than it seems. Park in the supermarket lot, venture in and walk right past the seafood-filled refrigerated cases to the back room where they’re cooking up creatures recently plucked from the ocean depths. From oyster stew and pan-roasted flounder almandine to shrimp served a dozen different ways, the menu offers a broad array of fish and shellfish plus a few chicken and beef alternatives for landlubbers. It’s not fine-dining---in ambience or preparation---but the fresh and simple seafood fare shines. The broiled seafood combination platter is a treasure trove generous enough to be dinner and then lunch the next day.
