N'awlins Jazz Cafe Restaurant Review: "World Famous N’awlins" brand spices, hot sauces and food products have been popular items at the French Market in the French Quarter for more than seven decades. So when the fourth generation of the owner's family opened the N’awlins Jazz Cafe, it was well within the family's right to call it "World Famous." From the first bite, diners will taste why the place is so renowned, whether they sample the spicy Creole omelet or pain perdu for breakfast, the authentic Creole-style barbecued shrimp for lunch, or the tender crawfish etouffée for dinner. This place also creates the definitive Creole stuffed bell pepper --- spicy, meaty and filled with seafood. Desserts hit sweet local notes, with predictable but welcome flavors of pralines, pecans and sugary, buttered concoctions. A full bar, offering several well-chosen wines by the glass, adds to the allure.
