: Owner Nick Fasanella (formerly of Nick's Crispy Tacos) approaches ingredients as many chefs would at an upscale bistro, using organic flour and local, sustainable meats and produce. The rustica style is a welcome respite from the beloved but ubiquitous thin crusts that abound---think airier, crispier focaccia baked in a pan in the brick oven and cut into squares. Try the Winter Margarita---oven-roasted tomatoes, Nick’s house-made mozzarella, niçoise olives and basil. House-made Italian sausage elevates the sausage-with-roasted-peppers pie, while the Tre Funghi is redolent with the earthy flavors of portobello, shiitake and porcini mushrooms. There’s a selection of antipasti including chilled roasted beets with Mandarin oranges, frisée, ricotta salata and shallot vinaigrette. Beer or wine by the glass is also offered.
