THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Nobleoni Restaurant Review:
When Hands On Cafe at Oregon College of Art and Craft closed, it left many disappointed patrons in its wake. Its reinvention, Nobleoni, holds promise. Chef/owner Leather Storrs, son of John Storrs, who designed OCAC in the 1970s, and the toque behind the Central Eastside's Noble Rot, is guiding the kitchen. The menu includes small and seasonal dishes as well as salads, soups, sandwiches, baked goods, and internationally inspired entrées. On a given day you may find harissa-roasted carrots with yogurt, chickpeas, dill, mint and sesame seeds; portobello mushrooms stuffed with goat cheese, leeks, breadcrumbs, porcini and arugula; and classic strawberry shortcake. Brunch selections range from a mushroom, cheddar and roasted pepper omelet to slow-roasted pork loin in a tuna sauce served with salade niçoise. An outdoor patio is also available.
