North 26 Restaurant & Bar Restaurant Review: This minimalist restaurant in the Millennium Bostonian Hotel offers a dimly-lit sanctuary with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook neighboring Faneuil Hall’s bustling bars and shops. Tourists and locals in the know come here for the "Bar Bites" menu that includes everything from short rib crêpes with red wine jus to flank steak satay with hoisin barbecue sauce. Seafood reigns supreme with catches of the day including scallops, which are later seared. Don’t miss the signature lobster trio---beer-battered claw, grilled tail and knuckle meat scampi. There is also a fair selection of chicken, duck, lamb chops and beef. Service is attentive without being obtrusive and the wine list includes by-the-glass selections from Italy to New Zealand. Among desserts, we recommend the lemon ricotta cake and apple fritters with hot apple cider and caramel sauce. |
