Oasis Restaurant Review

: Moroccan cuisine is an often overlooked aspect of Mediterranean food, but thankfully not at Oasis, where chef Karim BenBrahim serves up dishes from his native land. Start with the authentic tea service (there’s no alcohol available here), then work your way through classic dishes such as vegan lentil soup and a couscous (available as vegan or with Halal-certified meat whenever possible), or consider the osso buco tagine. Desserts include baklava and selou, a Moroccan halwa, but we like to return to the appetizer menu for the chicken, almond and cinnamon pastry known as b’stilla. Even though this version isn’t exactly what you’d find in Morocco, it still captures the essential sweet/savory/textural notes.
