Besides, Jim O'Keefe is from New England, and knows how to make a chowder: His version, from Hilo's sweetest corn, is served in a sourdough boule, served only on Mondays. We love the other daily specials and overstuffed sandwiches, say home-roasted turkey on five-seed bread. The pastries are equally irresistible in this friendly place.
