Though the menu proclaims international cuisine and tapas bar, the offerings at Ole Ole are decidedly Spanish. Salty fresh anchovies and tender baked baby octopus are among the authentic tapas selections. Rich chorizo sausage bathed in brandy and presented aflame tableside is a spicy treat, and the garlic prawns are deliciously piquant. Other light and tasty tapas include jumbo grilled shrimp, potatoes in a spicy red sauce, and thin Serrano ham draped over fresh melon. The menu falters when it comes to the quite ordinary Mexican dishes, which aren't anything special, and frankly aren't worth your time. The tapas really shine, and the best way to try them is by ordering enough for the table to share. The lamb shank and filet of beef are both quite good if you want something more substantial. To round things out, the tres leches cake is the best sweet ending; the flan is rich and creamy and also a great choice. As far as drinks go, mojitos here are sub par, but the wine list is quite good. The atmosphere is as enjoyable as the tapas; the music is great, the staff is friendly and the tables outside are the best seats when you can snag one.
